Hawzah News Agency- a group of respected scholars, seminary students, and people from various walks of life participated in the gathering. By chanting slogans, they clearly voiced their opposition to the aggressive policies of the US and Western countries.
Emphasis on Standing with Truth and the Oppressed
Addressing the rally, Hojatoleslam Syed Ibrahim Khalil Razavi, Chairman of the Bangladesh Shia Scholars Council, emphasized the principled stance of the institution, stating: "We have always stood on the side of truth against falsehood. If defending the truth requires sacrifice, even offering our lives, we will have no hesitation on this path."
Referring to the historic positions of the founder of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, he added: "Imam Khomeini (RA) emphasized that this revolution would stand with the oppressed and against the oppressors. US aggression against Iran is not only a blatant violation of human rights but also poses a serious threat to the security and stability of the entire world."
Criticism of International Bodies' Silence
The Chairman of the Bangladesh Shia Scholars Council further criticized global policies, saying: "The United States expands its hegemonic ambitions in the world by creating fabricated crises and advancing new forms of colonialist policies. However, the United Nations and so-called human rights institutions have maintained a meaningful silence in the face of these violent actions."
Condemnation of Warmongering and Threat Policies
Other speakers at the rally also condemned policies of warmongering, sanctions, siege, and threats. They called for an immediate end to imperialist aggressions and emphasized the necessity of respecting the will of nations, the national sovereignty of countries, and just peace globally.
The speakers highlighted the destabilizing role of foreign interference in the internal affairs of independent nations and praised the Islamic Republic's model of resistance against hegemony. They reaffirmed that the Muslim Ummah stands united in support of Iran's sovereignty and its right to self-determination.
The protest rally concluded with the recitation of a final statement declaring complete solidarity with the nation and leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Participants vowed to continue raising their voices against injustice and in support of the Axis of Resistance led by the Islamic Republic.
